David v. Goliath

The key difference between us and other law firms?

The Immigration Attorneys are focused entirely on family immigration law. Sure, other firms out there practice in this area, but how devoted are they?

There are many different parts of immigration law, and we focus on only a part of that: green cards, naturalizations, removal of conditions, fiancée visas, consular processing, and some waivers.

We don’t stray outside of this niche, so we know it and know it well. In times like these, it is necessary to stay abreast of all the rapid changes that are taking place from day to day.

The vast amount of knowledge necessary to know everything about immigration law is too vast for any firm to master. This is exactly why we focus on our niche, and don’t deviate.

Some larger “Goliath” size firms may offer services in the area of immigration, but how well do they know this particular section of law?

This focus allows us to charge flat fees on nearly all of our cases, and these include any filing fees to be paid to USCIS. We do this so we can focus on you and your case, not on billing hours.

OurApproach:

As Immigration Lawyers, we have helped clients across the United States with their applications. We believe the most reliable way to successfully resolve your immigration case is by contacting a lawyer to explore your options.

This partnership can make the process of securing your Green Card and eventual citizenship significantly less stressful.

We are transparent and will explain the entire process during the consultation. We do this so there are no surprises once your case is underway.

About Mark Mogavero

The American Dream is NOT dead.

In fact, there has never been a better time to be alive and live in this country.

I believe that with all of my heart, and that feeling is reinforced every time I hear the story of a client’s struggles to get here so they and their families can start their new lives.

Don’t let anyone try and convince you that the United States is not the land of opportunity. Those voices are ill-informed.

Seeing countless people put their lives on the line to make the journey to the US was something that always impressed me. No guarantees, no safety net, nothing other than a desire for a fresh start and something better than back home.

I love that.

It’s why Ray and I started The Immigration Attorneys, a practice devoted exclusively to family Immigration Law.

My goal is to guide and assist as many immigrants as possible in their quest for that dream. They have a willingness to come here and work hard to achieve that goal.

One of the best parts of my work is the wonderful people that I get to meet and assist in creating that dream life and strong relationships to their new country.

I get to help people from all over the country. Immigration Law is federal law, meaning I can represent clients from all 50 states in their applications. I’ve assisted clients from Florida, Virginia, Chicago, Las Vegas, California, New York, and many other states.

I heard a quote a long time ago, and it has not only stuck with me, but drives me to assist clients each day:

“You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want.”

Zig Ziglar

I am truly appreciative of the work that I am able to do each day.

About Ray Wood‍

A lot of people ask how I came to practice immigration law, and my usual response is: I didn't choose it; it chose me.

It all started when a friend asked, "Hey Ray, you are a lawyer, can you help me become a citizen?" At the time, I wasn't an immigration lawyer, but I agreed to look into it. I joined a national Immigration Bar, purchased extensive legal research materials, and spent countless hours researching the law and consulting with other immigration attorneys in the Albany, NY area and across New York.

Ultimately, I was able to help my friend successfully achieve U.S. Naturalization. Shortly after, he referred a friend who needed assistance obtaining a Green Card through marriage to a U.S. Citizen. This led to more time spent researching complex topics, like what happens if a person leaves the U.S. with an expired Green Card, or if a U.S. spouse refuses to sign a petition to remove conditions on a Green Card.

With the amount of time and knowledge invested, combined with a growing demand, I naturally evolved into an immigration lawyer.

While my background—including college, law school, and 11 years in the military with international travel—gives me a unique perspective, the best part of this career is that I have met some of the most wonderful people on Earth.
